LED candles are the most realistic non-flame candles we've seen on the market yet, and have the distinction of being greener in general because of lifespan and limited use of electricity to light.
We've brought you candles you can blow on as well as off, but we wanted to let you know about some of the additional options out there.
The Philips Aurelle line comes up when you search Amazon for LED candles, and these little tea light holders and tea light candles are rechargeable, and mask the fact that you don't have a real candle in the holder.
Do you have experience with LED candles? Let us know what you think in the comments!
They come in square, round and triangle holders and retail for $14.95 each, though if you buy a 10-pack at $200, that reduces the price to just $10 each. Also note that the triangle holder retails for $20, but the 10-pack is still only $200. You could also place the tea lights in your own holders.
BestNest has a wide selection of LED candles with a built-in LED, and come in a variety of sizes (up to 12" tall), colors, and multiple shapes (round, square, twist, stacked and hurricane).
Another option for tea lights and holders is the Viatek Rechargeable Candles which come with a round holder. These are $37.48 for a 6-pack. They are 4.25" tall by 2.25" wide.
A final option is Hampton Bay's 3-candle set, which oddly has a wick that doesn't light up (it's metal, so someone can't accidentally light the "wick")--we think these look great, except for the oddness of the wick. This 3-candle set is available at Home Depot for $30, and a detailed review by an LED aficionado is available through the link.

White Enamel Flatwa...
I was at a wedding where the centrepieces were lit with LED tealights and there was something strangely spooky about the way they flickered.
There's a restaurant in my old neighborhood that had these on the tables. I went there for years and didn't realize for a long time that they weren't real, oxygen-required, something's burning candles. Very convincing. If I liked candles more, maybe I'd consider some myself.
we've cats. 3 cats. they see something flickering and they can't keep their paws to themselves. sometimes we'd have to grab something to eat or go upstairs for a few minutes and we'd have to blow off our tealights, turn them on again when we came back, long story short we found a few of the LED ones at Walgreens so we said wth, why not? Ever since, we've used them for many occasions from our special outdoor get togethers, to the mundane everyday indoors and nobody notices they're faux, thought they certainly notice how much fun and lived in the place looks with just a few candles. The cats love'em too.
