Top row, left to right:
1. A fearless geometric dark and light pattern created by a mix of two simple tile shapes (diamond and square) arranged in an oversized, full-of-movement design.
2. Herringbone application. These obsidian tiles were arranged in an elegant (sorta 70s, no?) herringbone design. Very smart.
3. Gold bricks for your bath (or kitchen, or fireplace or wherever you want a little Scrooge McDuck style). A bit of glitz, gold and sparkle were on display at many KBIS booths this year. It's a trend that is definitely taking hold.
4. Crosshatch application. The Jasper Johns-esque pattern works really well with these neutral yet rich narrow tiles.
5. Penny rounds in cork - a classic shape and pattern in an unusual material and application, shown in an mudroom/laundry room setting.
Bottom row, left to right:
6. Going for a mix - this single stall shower utilized three very different size tiles to create a very custom and decorative feel while keeping the color story simple.
7. Crosshatch again, this time with a bamboo-style wooden tile - very earthy and spa-like.
8. A gray backsplash. The new neutral is definitely making a move from the living room and bedroom to the kitchen and bath.

White Enamel Four-P...
Love #4.
The cork rounds look like pepperoni slices!
I actually just saw the cork tile in the bathroom of a wine bar last night, and I was trying to figure out what the were since I'd never seen cork "tiles" before.
I really like the wood tile. Do you install them like you would ceramic? Are they treated, or do you have to poly the wall after installation?
I really love the last one as a backsplash
I installed extra small italian mosaic tiles such as the last photo as a backsplash, everybody advised against it because it would be to hard to clean etc... but I have to say that I love it so far! It looks cool and cleaning it really isn't that much of a pain. I did use an extra smooth black grout though...

The first one is making me dizzy but I love the 3rd and 4th ones. We've got the High Point Furniture Market show in town this week and I'm going to pop over there to see what's new being shown...
Wow, I so wish I could have gone this year! Can't wait until the next one!
Coverings Show (biggest show about tile and stone) is coming up this month in Orlando, FL. Its a great show to see trends and textures.

KBIS was pretty dismal this year. It seems to be getting smaller and smaller every year.
