We once lived on an island where space was at such a premium that garbage was sorted into nine different types of recycling so as to avoid needlessly filling up the dump. Our kitchen was home to so many recycling bins of various kinds and sizes that there was barely room to cook.
It's too bad TopDeq's Tumiera Trash Sorter wasn't around then.
The Tumiera was created for offices, but with its wipe-clean silver-aluminum powder-coated steel finish and slim footprint (it's only 10" deep), we think it would work well at home, too. It can be wall-mounted or set on the floor in a kitchen, hallway, anteroom or garage without taking up too much space--visual or volumetric. Color-coded, tilt-out bins make for the easy tip and toss, and are lined with standard-issue 10g kitchen garbage bags. It comes in two sizes: $128 for a two-bin sorter and $148 for the four-bin size.
Topdeq's marketing copy states, "A more stylish sorter is hard to find." We agree -- we've looked!

I never thought I'd get trash can lust, but I saw this and started planning where it could go...
Order with caution. Topdeq's shipping prices are astronomical.

As a recycling freak, this would be a good thing! I could have sworn I saw something similar to this by IKEA ... maybe I was dreaming
you're not dreaming: ikea has has something very similar, but for shoe storage! It's great because stores and hides at the same time, occupying very little space.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand..... it's MUCH cheaper
I wouldn't worry about shipping via Topdeq any longer... they have free shipping!
