Tord Boontje's work always manages to transport us to a world of make-believe, populated by flora and fauna straight out of a woodland fairy tale. These new lamps for Artecnica are no different, but the story seems to be set not just in another place and time, but on another planet altogether.

Etched metal sheets packaged flat bloom into the flower-inspired pendant lamps, which Boontje designed as "a flower and light hybrid."

Oh my freaking God, I need these!
Well, that's a bit extreme, but I desire them greatly.
I find them ugly -- almost messy in appeance.
some of these are really interesting....... i think i like them but i can't decide
Stunning. Love them. The best Boontje light design yet.
I love the barely controlled chaos aspect. These might look "messy" in some schemes but would be a terrific antidote and focal point in more clean lined interiors. I could also see them working on a modern meets Brocade Home type decor.
Belongs next to your Zaha Hadid "chair" onboard the mothership.
Yeah...spawn of Alien.
I think they're fantastic. They're powerfully intricate. Then again, I'm particularly fond of using lines to create organic shapes . . .
Laure is a bit giant-spider-coming-to-eat-your-brain but I think the others are gorgeous and fantastic in the literal sense. WANT.
Nifty, but I'm having a hard time envisioning the perfect space for them -- I think it would have to be pretty plain since they are so busy, and it would have to be very modern (or Zen) to work with their aesthetic...
