Toto EcoPower Sensor Faucet Recharges While You Wash

In terms of hygiene, we'd say the the auto-sensing bathroom faucet is right up there with the auto flushing toilet/urinal. And despite thoughts otherwise, it's really the faucet that's got more cooties awaiting to hitch a ride, not the toilet handle or seat. But those automatic devices require additional power to operate their infrared sensor...until now.

Toto is already on our dream home suppliers list, mostly because they offer toilets that can just do about anything and everything imaginable, all the while looking very cool. Throw in these faucets onto the list...these EcoPower faucet are touch-less and generate their own energy via a turbine spun by the very water released to wash your filthy paws. The high-efficiency turbine replenishes and and stores energy into a battery pack, requiring as few as 5 uses per day to charge fully for your next visit. Quite brilliant. Of course, such brilliance comes at a price: $947 retail, making this solution just as much about spending green as being green.
