- What I Love About My Small Home:
- It's really very cozy in here. I love my gallery wall, where I've put framed concert posters as well as prints I've received as gifts, and my reading corner. (Though it is difficult to keep my books organized.) My balcony is fantastic - I like to sit outside in the evenings with my dog, a friend, and some wine. And take a look at the size of the closet!
- Biggest Challenge of Living in a Small Space
- The biggest downside to this particular apartment is the lack of natural light. I face south, so for most of the year everything is in the shade. My poor plants aren't too happy about that, but it stays cooler in the summer. I need to remind myself to stop going to library book sales, since I can't fit another bookcase in. The kitchen is narrow and has very limited storage, so I built a small shelving unit that fits perfectly into an unused door frame.

This looks really comfortable and streamlined but that is a huge living room in my book. Even the closet is big. Which part of this house is the "little" part?
I love the planters :) And the dog!!! What a beauty!!
Love the bedroom!
Another greyhound in the small cool contest... I'm in love. I honestly think that greyhounds are the most apartment friendly dogs- I could live with my two in a studio if I had to:)
Adorable! Love the wooden box shelving unit with the plants, the chair and pillow beside the bed, and the whole relaxed feel of this space. Love the dog too! :)
that first picture is just perfection! i want to cozy up and read in your apartment!
Nice space! I just have to ask...is that lemon tree (above the stove) real? I love it and the plant box "stand"!
Nice place you got here!
Love your cozy reading nook! (and I'm obsessed with library book sales too!) :)
I love the tulip rocking chair! Please, please - where did you get it? :)
Thanks for the dog love and all the positive comments, guys!
@Chelle Belle - nope, it's a fake! I think the little yellow pot is insanely cute, and it's been with me in every apartment I've ever had.
@Carsin - shhhh don't tell anyone, it's a plastic knockoff of the Eames rocker as a placeholder til I get the real deal ;)
Love it! So cozy. And that Moroccan mirror is the coolest thing ever :)
