Given we live in the afternoon tea capital of the world, the theme for the babyshower for our little baby girl, Leyla, was "Traditional English Afternoon Tea".
We had some amazing cupcakes from Hummingbird Bakery and made-to-order angel cake from a local bakery. It was served with traditional crust-less sandwich fingers on 3-tier cake and sandwich stands.
Specially mixed leaf tea from Fortnum and Mason was served in Fortnum's fine bone china tea sets along with Dom Perignon rose champagne and of course a British classic Pimms! No "high tea" is complete without some champagne!
The weather was amazing for London and this time of theyear; 28 degrees so the celebration went on in our garden till late evening..The trees were decorated with pink ribbons and pink pom poms and we had 6 feet balloons with a "new little princess" theme.
Overall it was an amazing party and we are very much looking forward to throwing a similar sort of party next year for her 1st birthday! :) only bigger and PINK-er!
