Although not double decker-style bunks (like these beauties) we're enamored with these built-in bunks inspired by the sleeping car of a train. By nestling the beds against the wall and not making them the focus, the designer has smartly opened up more floor space for play.

The bunks are part of the third-floor children's loft in Southern Living's 2009 Idea House in Port Aransas, Texas. Curtains enclose each bunk for privacy and across from each bunk is a drawer and storage cubby. You can see photos of the rest of the house (including the playroom) at Southern Living. Kind of dreamy, isn't it?
