You've got three ways to incorporate vintage posters in your home: actual vintage posters (which can sometimes be a bit on the pricey side), vintage poster prints and reproductions, or lastly, contemporary artists' interpretations of vintage posters. We've included a little bit of everything in this round-up of colorful and exotic vintage travel posters that would look great on your wall.
Etsy, Amazon and other online marketplaces are great spots to find vintage travel posters (or posters inspired by them), but we've also had a lot of luck perusing vintage stores and garage sales in the past… just keep those eyes open! And remember to frame them so they look more like art and less college-dorm-room when you do finally find some you can't live without!

White Enamel Four-P...
just used a vintage twa germany poster in a client's bathroom. it looks AMAZINGGGG.
I /love/ these! I've been looking for years for vintage (actual vintage or reproduction of vintage) travel posters from Jordan (posters of Petra a bonus). Anyone know any sources?
This place has a ton of all original posters (albeit some of them very pricey.

For reproductions, Allposters.com is a good place to start.
My question is not where to get the posters -- I already have those -- but how to get them framed without going broke. Getting the art is the easy part, getting it into a state ready to hang on the wall is another story entirely.
Even better when the vintage poster is for a vintage country (like Yugoslavia!). I gave my sister some vintage Hawaii travel posters since she spent her honeymoon there, makes a nice gift.
Yrnamehere, you might want to try these "french frames" from Oh Happy Day.

Basically it's plexi or glass and some kraft paper tape. I think it would look pretty decent with posters like this!
Man, TWA gets around. I have a (reproduction) TWA poster for San Francisco. Loved the colours!
Thanks for the link. I'm not sure it would work for the size posters I have since they are all 20+ inches x 30+ inches, but I might try it just to see what happens. I would definitely use plexi rather than glass to keep the weight down and also to cut down on the potential for disaster if the frame falls apart from humidity loosening the glue or whatever.
I've always loved these. Thanks for the link.
