According to the website, the glass is held on by magnets, and is removed only to light the fire. An attached 1 liter tank of bio-alcohol provides the fuel, which is clean burning, so you don't have to worry about smoke. We were concerned about how you might have to stop the fire once it's started (as popping off some fire-licked glass sounds unappealing) but apparently the fuel tank is accessible from the outside, making regulating the flames a snap. The suitcase shape makes for stylish shlepping, too.

Available in Europe for about 1400 euros, though we don't recommend trying to bring it back as a carry-on.
