We came across artist Trek Thunder Kelly working on one of his “Super Pop” paintings in the back of the Red House Gallery the other day. His large, pop culture inspired canvases mix classic yet somber images with frivolous fashion and advertising to create a commentary that is both funny and harsh.

He also reinterprets household products “Wacky Package” style into some pretty telling objects. Note the O.J. Simpson Knife Set has knives monogrammed with the names Nicole and Ron. Ouch
