Perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Hudson River, this tiny home by Baumraum seemingly defies gravity. The home is supported by the rocky cliff while the connected treetop terrace is supported by the central oak tree with the aid of straps and steel cable.
German firm Baumraum specializes in elaborate tree houses and there is even a book by Andreas Wenning celebrating treehouses all over the world: Treehouses: Construction and Design Manual.

White Enamel Flatwa...
I dunno, those supports under the little house just haven't convinced me.
Uhm... no, thank you.
I will pass on the house of plummeting death, thank you very much.
lol at elankat. :)
It's all shaky and unstable, judging by the third picture. I wouldn't step inside as I wouldn't like to end my life on the rocks above Hudson.
... then, along came a hungry beaver...
I'm with elankat (very nicely put, elankat)
Eek! Couldn't pay me enough to walk out there.
This house would probably scare me to death. No thanks.
(but very cool to observe at a distance!)
structurally, it looks sound, i would be more concern about the house if there is a hillside fire. steel and wood can be firproofed (and is required by all bldg. codes) only drawback is that it looks ugly. this was probably built without the proper building permits. exposed steel and wood plus fire is a not a good thing.
I'd like to see the permits, please.
Daring design. Insane occupant.
Honey, have you seen my beeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrr.
