As a close watcher of trends in the design world, I will say that there's a lot out there that is very beautiful, but few things that feel really new. There are always exceptions, though, like these iridescent homewares (and accessories). They feel different and futuristic and maybe even a little bit magical, the perfect thing for taking your home, and your style, to the next level.
Natura Rainbow Flatware at Horchow, $175
Above: Definitely a bit pricey, but watch for sales. Also, imagine how fantastic these would look on a table — just pair them with simple white plates and linens and you're ready to go.
Glas Italia Shimmer Side Table at ABC Carpet & Home, starting at $2,195
The '80s child in me makes no apologies about being completely obsessed with this table, whose color changes depending on the angle from which you view it. Magical.
Rainbow Tray by Hay at Nannie Inez, $19
For a slightly more affordable touch of the iridescent, try this rainbow tray.
Iridescent Bib Necklace by Manifold Brooklyn, $115
A pretty, statement-making iridescent necklace, inspired by the geometries of folded paper.
'Oil' Candle by Tom Dixon at Saks Fifth Avenue, $100
I mean, I don't know that oil is the first thing I'd like my home to smell like, but I trust Tom, and the vase is awfully pretty (though the price tag is quite scary).
Hubert Bracelet at Adorn Milk, $149
Zetus lapetus, these are fantastic! Wear with an all-white outfit and a slightly mysterious expression for a chic "Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century" vibe.
Prismania Chairs at Noon Furniture, contact for price
