This post couldn't be more timely.

Just last weekend, I started recovering the inside of a Samsonite Streamlite from the '40s... only to have Mad Men cover their Samsonite ad campaign that evening!

I'll have to take some of these designs to heart. I've got another suitcase to recover sometime soon...

My fiance's Etsy shop specializes in hand painted suitcases, too! I can't imagine traveling with brand new cases now - the old ones are amazing, especially with some personalized art!

I have five newly procured suitcases waiting for me to do something with. I keep finding them for pennies.

I don't there's something I like about the plain vintage suitcases. I think it's the white trim that they usually have. I like the suitcase with the initial the best.
