I can't help noticing that vintagey re-imaginings of movie posters are suddenly cropping up everywhere. From an elegantly minimal Titanic poster to a Hitchcock-style design for Inception, there's something for everyone. I, for one, am just excited to have found an uber-hip way to express my love of The Little Mermaid.

Shaw's Original Fir...
These are phenomenal. I've seen movie poster-redo's on etsy.com before & I am excited to see them featured. They make it easy to feature your favorite movies in a more sophisticated and polished way. Love!
I can't even buy the Up posters? Lame...
I would love to see a minimal movie poster on the original Italian Job with with Michael Caine!

LOVE. Gimme, gimme! :)
The style of the Inception poster is based on that of Saul Bass, the graphic designer Hitchcock used in some of his most memorable posters. Hitcock himself did not design the posters.
I'm curious -- would these artists have any problem with trademark infringements? I think these are so cool but Disney especially is very tight with how their characters are portrayed; I can't imagine they wouldn't send this artist a cease and desist letter if they saw it. Anyone have experience with this?
I love these!!!! I want the Quidditch one! :)
These are fantastic!
And now I know what my brother is getting for Christmas. "A great place to crash" - that's hilarious.
Get on my wall now, Groundhog Day.
For the Disney ones they have artists that are given permission to re-interpret the characters/images and at least for the little mermaid one in this list (I haven't looked into anything else yet) it's being sold through a Disney affiliate of sorts.
Oh. My god. There are posters for all of my favorite movies! I'll have to pass this on to the artists at my office. Thanks!
This is SO DARN COOL! I love the poster for 'Inception' but then again, I am totally obsessed with that movie!
I know the artist who came up with the Star Trek inspired posters. His store is here:

I want the UP poster, too.
I already have all three Star Wars posters from Handz on Etsy. They rule. Right now I'm fascinated by these retro "propaganda" style videogame posters - http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/posters/de7f/
