This chevron trend blossomed a few months ago and I've sat back and watched it take it's course. I never thought I'd get attached but well, there's just something about this chevron wave that even has me hooked!
The pattern is just so darn striking. You can almost see it from miles away and you can use it on just about anything. Have an ugly dresser you are so desperately wanting to transform — paint a chevron pattern on it! Add chevron curtains to a room in your house if you're looking to make a statement.
One of the most dramatic ways to use chevron in the home is to actually paint your floors — it's quite the undertaking but the outcome is so totally worth it. If you're not quite ready to commit to the long term ramifications of painting your floors you can always pick up a chevron rug or you can make your own.
Chevron is really turning out to be quite versatile — what do you think about this trendy pattern?

A few months ago...as in May? I feel like chevrons have been a trend for a lot longer than that.
It's a trend. It will pass. Give it two more months and everyone will be saying how "over it" they are.
As for me, as appealing as it may be, I try to stay away from big trends in order to pursue things that are truly "mine"; as in, I want to develop a space where the overriding design aesthetic is "stuff I like" versus "stuff everyone else thinks is cool".
I like chevrons, but haven't used them in my home. The way their contrasts can be intense or minimal depending on the impression you want to create makes them flexible. Chevrons might be better used on a small, cheap furnishing like a throw pillow cover than something big like the walls.
Not that I don't enjoy this look - I really do like the bright-and-clean of it all - but has anybody seen a dark on dark version? I was thinking of a black and navy variant, but I just don't know if it would have the same impact. (Thinking of it like in image 10, where it's almost tone on tone?)
I love it. I have planted it firmly in the "stuff I like" category. So if it passes and no one else likes it - no matter. That's the beauty of cultivating your own style - you can pick and choose which trends you want to keep for yourself and which ones you let go of.
I love chevrons. Always have. I really want a chevron throw blanket, but can't seem to find one.
I love it. I'm intrigued by the people that committed to this pattern by putting in chevron carpeting or painting the floors!
I was looking at the pictures and thinking about how much I don't like chevron on walls... until I saw the last picture. Pretty!
Hi!
Chevron is fun! It brings some interest to any kind of room and I like that. Have that said, I'd not use too much of it. I like to use it on pillows, maybe summer curtains (light, colorful_love yellow chevron on a curtain). But nothing too much or I'd get tired of it_ quickly!
By the way, thank you very much for mentioning "HomeBunch". It's a honor!

Blossomed a few months ago? I don't think so. I was getting tired of chevrons last year.
I think chevron is a classic. Missoni has been around for years and it just looks better and better
minuet 42, I've seen it done tone on tone with white and with different textures (gloss and flat) - I'm sure it would look super lovely navy and black.
Oh, and I am obsessed with chevron, but haven't put it to use in my home yet. Went with stripes for the rug instead of chevron, but now I'm thinking throw pillows.
Love all things chevron! Dunno if it's a recent trend though. Just seems like all the other blogs are finally catching on.
I've been on the hunt for the perfect chevron fabric for over a year! (want thicker lines) I'm afraid blogs will kill it for me before I am able to find it. So hard to find thing before they are too trendy.
