I'm a bit fickle when it comes to color, and my new favorite color is a color I never though I'd like at all. It's pink. But not bubblegum pink, and not Barbie pink... it's pale, pale pink, not the dusty rose of the 80s but something lighter, subtler, almost a neutral but not quite. It's the new pink, the best pink, and it's suddenly all over.

This is Farrow & Ball's 'Pink Ground', spotted in a space from Nordic Design. It's almost neutral but not quite, subtle but not band-aidy. Basically the perfect pink.

The perfect pink strikes again in these Le Creuset dishes, spotted on The Style Files. The color is called 'chiffon pink' — do a search if you wish to make these dishes your own, but be aware that they're a bit pricey.

This pink's a little more forward than the others, but still understated enough, I think, to fit the bill. Spotted on Nordic Design.

Light light pink + black + ample light = soft and strangely modern. This little bit of color perfection was captured by Anna Leena, and you can buy the print on her site.
