Design: Tribune Tibetan Rug
Materials: 100% Wool
"Merging a love for comic book images, mid-century furniture and pop art into my work as a rug manufacturer, I came up with this design, which I titled "Tribune". I was tempted to weave the words "Zap" "Pow" and "Boom" in the rug, but decided against it."
VOTING IS NOW CLOSED ON THIS ENTRY

"The rug is hand knotted in Kathmandu, Nepal, and is GoodWeave certified, which allows me to give back to the Nepali community with every rug sale. I love the multicolor version, but I also created one in Black and white and red."

Great colors and nice choice to leave out the words.
Crash! Bang! Pow! Holy Tibetan goat, Batman...
Where can these be bought? I'd love it in my kid's room. She's only two now And the room is purple sorbet colored but I could imagine it would still be cool when she's a teenager and decides to paint the walls black.
It's kind of cool, but I'd like to see a few other colorways. (A version in neutrals, like several shades of brown, cream, and black, would be nice. Or a version in monochromatic shades of greens or most any color.)
The strong multicolor versions are fun but very limited in the kind of decor they would work with -- that's a VERY strong pattern on the floor. It would fight with a lot of more traditional art, for instance.
No words was a good decision!!
Love it as well - would love to know where I could buy??
I pretty much concur with SherryBinNH. I really like the concept but the rainbow colors are hard to employ outside of kids rooms. I like the black, white and red one and think the play on the three colors would be great....White, brown and red or white, blue, green, etc.
I'm also curious where they can be ordered and what the price range is.

SherryBin - I can certainly make it in any colorway, it's important though to pick colors and placement that will work well together, but it can certainly be done!
Thanks for your great comments!
I actually own one of these in the red/black/white version. I had it in my loft as my living area rug, and whenever I threw a party it was like a magnet. Everyone would crowd onto it instead of into the kitchen like usual!
Thank god you left the words out! And wow, what a cool number!!! I particularly like the certificate aspect and would, like the others, love to see a few calmer colour schemes alongside with these.
I like the colors, I think it might lose its pop! pow! in other colorways, it would still look good, but not quite the same. I think this would be a lot of fun in dining room paired with natural wood.
