wow- looking at the price of that fabric, that's one expensive blanket!
Yeah, I agree. That is a blanket you have to be DEDICATED to with a cost like that.
$312.50 blanket... definitely a project you'd have to finish :P
do you think this would work in another fabric? (allergic to wool!).
!!!!!
Imagine how much love you would feel upon receiving something like this!
While cute, if you sew as shown your blanket will not stand up to very much wear and tear at all. Do a nice finished seam and use a backing and binding if you want something that could survive a trip through the wash.
beautiful. you have such a great eye and superb taste!
Anyone who would even think of washing this beautiful blanket is CRAZY. It's art, an heirloom. I agree with the original blog - it is one of the most beautiful pieces I've seen.
sigh. no money to buy it. no time to make it (or the skill, for that matter!)
very inspiring, would make a great quilt pattern
ramonathepest, if you intend to use it as a piece of art, you probably shouldn't call it a blanket and put it on a bed. I would hardly call it an "heirloom" if it's sewn together so poorly that the stitches would pull through the felt at the slightest tug.
