TRON: Legacy Inspired Tech

Last night we had the pleasure of attending an early screening of the sequel to TRON. While we did enjoy the film for the story, we loved ogling the tech and the design of the interiors and grid even more. Inspired by the movie, we created this roundup of tech that we thought would not be out of place in the new film, TRON: Legacy.

Don't worry, there are no spoilers here, everything we are talking about can be seen in the trailers. We've divided our roundup into three categories, items that would work in Sam Flynn's home, tech at home on the grid, and tech that would work in Kevin Flynn's all white sanctuary.

  • LED Ambient Desk: This TRONtastic desk was made by Kevin Freitas using LED lights and an Ikea table.
  • Cyglo Tyres: These tires or tyres depending on where you live, would be perfectly at home on the grid with their motion sensitive LEDs embedded into the tire wall.
  • Official TRON Keyboard: We would be remiss not to mention the gadgets Disney commissioned, like this keyboard.
  • Tank Collection Desk: This glossy white desk would match Kevin's pristine decor well.
  • Brasa Tabletop Fireplace: We love this glossy white tabletop fireplace and know that it fits the white sanctuary bill.
  • Tiki Column Radiator: This radiator by ADhoc with its sleek looks is definitely something Kevin would appreciate.
  • Flameless LED Candles: If you're not a fan of open flame, check out these white flameless candles for your own sanctuary.
  • White TV: No white living room is complete without a white TV like this model from LG.

What are some pieces of tech you've spotted that would work well in the TRONverse?
