When I ran across this fabulous string art project several months ago, I bookmarked it and since then it keeps drifting back into thought. Although I might not have the time or talent to create something so intricate, a single word might be quite beautiful as wall art done on the cheap. Want to hear what words I came up with?
Single words that could be fun on your wall are common ones like: love, hope, peace, family, together, home, here, now, and create. Of course you could always be silly and use ones that might make your friends laugh or start a conversation. I'll leave those up to your imagination though they could be as simple as a silly word in a funny place.
We talk often about large artwork, but if you're not a Photoshop ninja, that can prove tricky. Instead, try string art. I like the idea of the warmth that the wood offers to your home and the ability to stain it to match is a nice touch. Bright string is a fun and inexpensive way to add color, especially if you watch sales at craft and home decor stores.
By doing just one word on a slightly larger scale, this project is easily done at home with a little time and ease on the pocketbook. What words would you use in your home? Share your thoughts below!

Very cute! I doubt minze would turn out so well though. I enjoy string art for sure.
I am right in the middle of a string art project! I got the inspiration from Anthropologie. They used a hot pink string and made the Seattle skyline. I'm doing something similar but on a much smaller scale for my living room. Can't wait to see how it will turn out!
@amanda black. the Seattle skyline as string art sounds great. Will you use hot pink string? If it turns out well send a picture to AT.
I think this is gorgeous, and I fully intend to rip it off one day. :) Font hunt!
