Everyone wants to have an awesome family photo hanging in their home, but have you ever considered printing yours on wood? We promise it won't make you feel like you walked off the set of The Waltons and instead will be a unique spin on the modern family photo. Want to see the video on how it's done?
We checked in over at Decor Hacks recently and we're glad we did! They reminded us of a project from Readymade magazine that involves the whole family. Well, a photo of your whole family anyway. It's easier seen than explained, so check out the video below and see just how easy it really is.
You could easily make personalized baby shower gifts, printed blocks, wall art and more.

I just clicked on the link 'Decor Hacks' and my anti-virus blocked a virus intrusion attempt. Be forewarned!
Cute idea, extra points for Belle & Sebastian!
Hi! Great technique!! Is the photo printed on an ink jet? Is there a certain paper that you should use? Thanks very much!

Wow, this is a great idea. I'm sure this would get some comments from visitors!
These are awesome and look great. I have a couple wood prints in my office, but I made them here:

It's really easy and you can do it all online and they ship it to you.
Have fun!
I did this awhile back, and it worked so well! I tried a black and white photo, and also a color photo. The color photo was of a sunset, so it complimented the color of the wood, but I think if it was something with blues and other things it would end up looking rather weird and greenish. I just printed the photos at work on regular copy paper on the copier printer, which I think is laser? It was whatever the instructions say to use.
Can you paint the wood before you do this. Would it have the same effect?
I just did this and it's looking "hairy". Did I not get all the paper off? I don't want to keep rubbing b/c parts of the wood is starting to show...help!!
