Tubelor Trash Cans made the blog-rounds earlier this year after they won the 2008 iF product design award — but they were not yet available for purchase in the United States. Now, after spotting them at the Gift Fair, we know these cans that allow you to attractively reuse plastic bags are available online from MollaSpace. They've even launched a new design that is slightly larger, Tubleor Homme...

Tubelor comes in six colors and sells for $41.

Tubelor Homme comes in four colors and has a matte finish. They sell for $43.

Wow I really love those. $43 is steep for a trash can but I love that you can't see the bag. I currently re-use grocery bags for trash anyway.
I'd like it more with a lid...who wants to look at/smell trash? Might be good for recycleables but still
A few years ago Philippe Starck made a trashcan almost exactly like that for Target.
I love the fact they want you to buy special bags for it.
My old grocery bags work just fine.
I would love it with a top too. I would want to use it for my bathrooms and bedroom but my dogs love getting into the little trash cans so lids are a necessity!
I guess I was thinking differently about these cans. I wouldnât use them in the kitchen, but perhaps in the bath, bedroom or living room, where the worst trash would be tissues and the like. They seem a bit small for kitchen use or recyclables use.
I agree: kitchen trash should have a lid.
sigh. i love it, but won't spent that much.
hey, they've been selling these on the plastica site for a year:

i was going to buy one for the bathroom but i've yet to get over spending $40 on a bathroom trash can...especially since i just spent $100 on my kitchen recycling unit:

Yes, I bought one from Plastica about a year ago!
I think my golden would probably get his head stuck in this and then walk around banging into things.
Wow talk about alot of surface area to clean and a whole lot of material to make a small trash bin. Imagine sliding the top up and over some mucky garbage, yuk.
