Over the long weekend, The New York Times featured the tiny 320-square-foot studio apartment of Rose Cirigliano. Rose maximizes space and usability with her Murphy bed, half-size refrigerator, and by sticking to a pale and neutral color palette. She even has all of her appliances' black electrical cords professionally replaced with white cords so they'll better blend into the pale interior...

With all of her space-saving, Rose still finds a way to seat 12 for a dinner party and have adequate space for her small library and art collection. Read all about Rose's small space: The Well-Edited Nest.

What a beautiful place!
I'm always amazed at how big Tudor City looks from the outside, yet the apartments are so tiny on the inside!
Love it. I love small spaces in general and I've been looking for 1, but here in DC, that tiny space will still cost me 3 or 4k (even in this great buyer's market), so I guess I'll keep dreaming.
i love small spaces, but when i think of my older years i always imagine s-p-r-a-w-l-i-n-g on a porch somewhere looking at the prairie. i'm not a new yorker, though.
what a classy and fun lady. i'm reminded that i could do with tossing some things out when i get home tonight.
All I can say is WOW! My master bedroom is 308 sq ft and that doesn't include the closets (which are in the master bath). I'd much rather clean Rose's house! I seriously need to downsize.
This is great. Kudos to Rose for living small. I wish the original article had included more photos.
I don't know, I love living small and have lived much smaller than this, but I don't understand, aside from the functionality of it all, what makes this place so great. It looks quite blah to me.
Pretty impressive...
When I grow up i'm going to live smaller
