One of the sweetest and most tiny of all prefabbed small spaces, the Tumbleweed Home is going to embark on a West Coast tour this summer so that you can see one up close and personal. All the houses that Tumbleweed have designed fall between 50 and 500 square feet and $15,000 and $40,000. Some, like the one pictured, are even roadworthy. Check out the workshops they're offering and when they'll be in a town near you.

The tour schedule has them starting in the Pacific Northwest and working their way down to Southern California by the end of July. This means they're actually driving one of the Tumbleweed homes this entire route and living in it as they travel:

7/24 - Open House in San Luis Obispo
7/25 - Open House in Santa Barbara
7/25 - Open House in Los Angeles
7/26 - Building Workshop in Los Angeles
7/27 - Design Workshop in Los Angeles
7/28 - Open House in San Diego

Check out some of the workshops they'll be offering including the Small Space Design Workshop:

We will focus on how to design a small house of your own. We will discuss what is the human element of living in a smaller space, and you will be taught the tools to design a small home that meets your personal needs. You will have a chance to talk with Jay Shafer, national expert on small living, about the various choices to make about living small.
