The holiday season is just around the corner, so you might want to check out these new and notable tech releases to mark down as possible gift ideas, ranging from an unusual minimalist wood and LED timepiece for the desk or mantle, to a sleek air purifier for the allergy sufferer in your household, or even a set of super soft decor items inspired by the iPhone's operating system...

Tungsten Customs LED Clock:
$130.00
  • What's New: Made from genuine maple, walnut, cherry or sapele wood, these iconographic sunburst pattern clocks offer the time in a simplified display format using bright LEDs for the "hands" of the clock (the lights can be customized for cool or warm temperature, with each offering two brightness settings).
KILLSPENCER Black Bridle + Paracord Camera Strap:
$89.00
  • What's New: Silver Lake handmade leather and accessories proprietor, KILLSPENCER, is a favorite of mine for their urban-paramilitary inspired wares for travel and adventure, and these individually made paracord camera straps could probably be used in an emergency if needed. But under normal conditions, the functional fashion accessory looks ready to use with mirrorless camera models, larger point and shoots, and even small DSLRs in less dire conditions.
OCDock and OCDock Mini:
$79.00
  • What's New: Made from the same Apple-grade aluminum as Cupertino's line of computers, this former Kickstarter project is now available in both a full-size and mini edition (the mini is thinner and designed for "naked" iPhones, the regular edition can accommodate for cases), designed to blend in seamlessly onto the front of Apple monitors or iMac displays. If you're the type who always likes to keep their iPhone visible and at arm's reach, all while reducing clutter, as the name implies, this dock should alleviate any obsessive tendencies brilliantly.

RabbitAir BioGS 2.0:
$369.95
  • What's New: I saw this air purifier over the summer at Dwell On Design, noting the refined and biomorphic design update to the BioGS line by industrial designer, Guto Indio da Costa. The soft and curved shape invites a touch, which is ideal since the air purifier's controls only appear when the unit is idle. The HEPA rated BioGS SPA-550A filters rooms up to 550 sq. ft. (or 625 sq. ft. for the SPA-625A) twice in an hour on the high setting. RabbitAir is known for their quiet operation air purifiers, so this model should work well in both bedroom or home office settings where you don't want to hear a loud fan all day or night.

Stuffography iStuff mini Pillows:
$11.00
  • What's New: These small embroidered polar fleece pillows apparently haven't been upgraded to iOS 7's "flat" design, but almost anyone will recognize the selection of icons nevertheless. If there has ever been accessories designed for desk-side pillowfights, these 4" x 4" super soft pillows might be it (Adobe Creative Suite icon pillows are also available).
