Do you have a super small closet that doesn't do you much good? Sure you do — we all do — but this one doesn't hold coats or linens anymore, it's been turned into a pretty perfect, pint-sized reading nook!
Over at Thrifty Decor Chick there's been some construction happening, but it's nothing to be afraid of. A small platform was built inside this tiny closet and a few bookshelves were added. After a few trim pieces, a little foam, some paint and a big pile of books, this nook is set for all sorts of reading adventures.
This is a perfect idea for a small space that isn't utilized well by storing other items in, but truly gives your tiny tot a spot all to themselves and Mom and Dad could even easily pull a chair up outside to help read if needs be.

Love it!
OOOOOOH! This. Is. AWESOME!! I am now off to examine all of our closets to see if I can achieve closet-book-nook greatness like this!!
This is delicious - on so many fronts. A good place to read is priceless! I also love the dark paint at the top - adds so much depth and takes it out of "closet mode" and into "sweet nook" mode.
Love! This makes me want to find space to add a little closet during my remodeling!
I would absolutely love to have this in my house!
Pretty soon, should be able to charge money for people to tour her home. She's amazing.
wow, that looks great! If only I had one too many closets instead of two too few...
I really want to do that with my closet now! Too bad it's busy holding my clothes...
I would have killed to have a book nook like this as a kid. Sadly, we have no "extra" closets in our home so my sweet boy will not have one any time soon either.
awesome.
