I have this obsession with old typewriters. The act of using one is somehow cathartic, but in a modern world there's no real use for them when you have a computer in the home. Collecting them just for the sake of collecting is just another thing to dust, in my opinion, so why not turn them into a planter for pretty little succulents?

Although it might seem a little unconventional, succulents are the perfect plant for this little idea. The first step in the project is to add some larger rocks to the bottom to help hold dirt. Next, plant small trimmings from larger succulents into the dirt. Keep things watered and happy in the sun and this typewriter planter will be ready to beautify your patio or deck.
