I've always wanted a set of vinyl glitter cafe chairs. After seeing this tutorial, it became quickly apparent that I no longer needed just my four legged friends — instead I want an entire glittered floor. Here's how to do it at your house:
Over at The Diary of a Crafty Chica they've been busy — with some pretty shiny results. To achieve this eye popping floor treatment they've used a regular floor coating kit found at your local hardware store. If you have trouble tracking them down, they're often in the paint department
Instead of using the multicolor flecks that come with the kit, a few bottles of glitter were used. The excess was swept off and sealer was used to hold it all in. The results are strong, but really out of sight if you're a retro nerd of any kind.

Shaw's Original Fir...
oh. my. god. LOVE!!!!!
so you think the neighbors would mind if I made my whole driveway gold glitter?
THIS IS AMAZING!
This is amazing!!! I have already informed my other half that we will have a floor like this one day - he knows I'm not joking!!! Thanks for posting the link!
ooh i saw this on pinterest a few days ago and said YES I NEED THAT. it must be a sign that i've been confronted with it twice now, hmm.
...Seriously?
Seriously FUN!
...in the right situation 8^)
I saw this a few days ago and I LOVE IT! I was thinking about doing this to some cement pavers in my backyard. Does the epoxy work on regular concrete as well?
You can never have too much glitter in your life! This is so very swoon worthy.
Oh that's just so much fun!!
love this! great idea.
Wow... too cool! (am now considering sparkly concret countertops...)
YOWZA....LOVE LOVE LOVE....
OMG...so not my style, but can I come visit on occasion? LOVE IT!
Maybe in a restaurant or a bar area of a basement...
Usually I have glitter slathered all over my body but now I so want to add bling bling to my floors.
I think this looks great as it is a 50's styled furniture around it but I wonder if it would work with other type of decor. Why not I guess. I wants a pink sparkled floor.
I usally have glitter all over my body but now I want bling bling on my floor.
Sparkly!!!!!!!
(aka. genius)
I need to find a way to do this to my ugly vinyl floor.
I'm seriously wondering if I can pull this off on my entry porch.
Follow the yellow brick road...follow, follow, follow, follow follow the yellow brick road!
This morning, when I went to buy my newspaper, I noticed that the cashier had black painted fingernails with little flecks of silver glitter glued to them, giving the impression of tiny disco balls.
This is the flooring equivalent.
This would be the best in a garage! Love!
I wonder if I can persuade my "other half" to do this in the basement electrical room where we house our videos and the equipment for the home theater? It would need to be red!
OMG i want that !!
ummm.... im definitely going to have a silver holographic glitter bathroom floor when i buy a house. i doubt i'll ever find a man that will accept it in the kitchen or garage. hahaa
