Turn fruit into candleholders with this candle carver. It carves a well into fruits and vegetables that is sized to hold a tealight.
Used with apples, pears, pumpkins, this tool could help you to create some really wonderful holiday centerpieces. (via cribcandy) -regina

I tried all of the above. A knife cuts a sloppy triangle shape, a tea light holder gets stuck in the fruit and can't scoop out the insides. I used the Candle Carver recently to cut apples as a centerpiece and then poured some chocolate in it and served fondue as dessert and even my low-life critical mother-in-law was impressed and that witch hates everything I do. Trust me the Candle Carve is cool and it only cost $12.95 at solutions.com.
I like the Candle Carver. It doesn't roll off the table. Just use flat bottom fruit like apples during the spring/summer or mini pumpkins in the fall. During the holidays or special occasions, I give out fruit baskets, I include a Candle Carver and my friends love it.
