Glass globes from light fixtures are often found piled up at thrift stores and your local ReStore. Why? Because they're not exactly attractive, and when ceiling fans get replaced, these globes go by the wayside. Put them to use with a little paint and turn them into something else entirely!

We stopped in over at Hummadeedledee recently and stumbled upon a perfect way to repurpose old glass globes. When adorned with a spool and some twine they look like pretty pumpkins! Place holiday lights or single bulbs underneath them for additional lighting. (And if you find clear ones, coat the inside with paint first so that subtle color shines through.)
