You run across tutorials online where folks talk about all these steps they took in Photoshop to adjust their picture. There's masking layers and filters and contrast adjusting, but sometimes the most simple thing you can do to a photo is nothing at all. This craft takes place on the outside of the frame!

Over at Kiki Creates, there's been some crafting going on. Although it was on a small scale this time around, these small paper additions to the outside of a photo of her children are sure to make any passerby smile. It's a simple way to make a photo festive without spending money on cheesy holiday frames that only take up extra space in storage.

Just think if you made multiples of these, or perhaps paper pieces for every season (bunny ears for Easter anyone?), it could be a seasonal event to walk around and change them out on a few family photos around the home. Store them all in a manila envelope and you not only have a simple, but storage-friendly craft!
