We all have those toys that are a little worn, but our kids still love. Instead of keeping them in the toy box, put them on permanent display on your bookshelf — well rather, in your bookshelf.
This funky tutorial from Scott Bedford on Craft is a fun one! It involves a bit of work to drill a hole through your shelf and cut a toy in half, embedding hardware inside to help it hold together. If you aren't looking for a process that's as involved as this one (even if the results are totally worth it), you could easily epoxy a toy to your shelf in less time.
For a modern twist, you could paint them all one color before installing for that oh so sleek look that's so popular these days. Check out the tutorial over at Craft and see if it doesn't start your wheels a spinning!

Shaw's Original Fir...
this is sooooooo wrong!!!!!!!!!!
love it!
What happens when your little one reaches for his toy and realizes that, not only is it glued to the shelf, it is also cut in half?
That's pretty awesome. My son and niece (who lives with me) are always finding new ways to break their stuff. Sometimes I can fix it sometimes I can't.
cakowalik
it will equal years of therapy!
That's pretty creepy looking to me!
Love, love, love this!
