So many vibrant colors&; lime and apple green, sunny yellow, fire truck red— can look lovely during the day, but sickly or dingy under the glare of the all too common bad overhead kitchen lighting. Turquoise, at least in my experience, has seemed to escape that fate. Another perk is its amiable relationship with most other colors. It looks great with greens, browns, yellow, reds, and— as evidenced here— it looks especially wonderful with black, white, and wood tones, which means that it's easy to use in a kitchen with other elements that can't be changed.
What's your favorite turquoise application?

Took the plunge and had "Patricia Bay" Silestone installed throughout our kitchen. People are a little stunned when they see the color but I think it looks great!

I painted our top kitchen cabinets turquoise and I love it.
Nice, Volvoguy. Have you got pictures of your space?
Love turquoise! My kitchen has pumpkin orange walls and I'm focusing on turquoise accents. I still need to find a few more items, like more art, a rug, etc.

Would love to see pics also volvoguy. That first pic looks fantastic, but I love all of them! I just saw an ep of Dear Genevieve where they painted the cabinets a dark turqoise, had a light gray patterned backsplash and bright yellow accents and it looked fantastic! If you really love turquoise, check out the blog House of Turquoise, lots of great inspiration there!
We have turquoise in our kitchen! Hand stenciled :)

Yes volvoguy show us some pictures please. Wow that "Patricia Bay" Silestone must look amazing.
What is funny is I have almost all of these pictures in my inspiration folder for the love of turquoise.
I too have some turquoise touches in my kitchen even though my kitchen is nothing to write about.
We have a vintage turquoise formica dinette table in the kitchen! It's maybe my favorite piece of furniture, and did a LOT to make our rental kitchen more cheerful.
i love the turquoise floor, actually!
The turquoise Aga makes me want to cry. Actually I love all of these rooms!
