soooo snarky chartreuse. I think the modernity of the room to which you are referring comes from the low profile modern bed and bedding, and the sleek natural storage trunks. I can dig it.
The first one looks like my bedroom. Of course, without the same ceiling, walls and floors....it sure doesn't have the same punch.

@jacksonlalonde- I wasn't being snarky. I was asking a real design question. The room seems to be filled with peasant furniture. So I did not get the "modern" equation. Are we using the term to denote a simple lack of ornament? What is "modern" here on AT?
Chartreuse- I thought the same exact thing. These rooms, though lovely and very inviting, don't say modern to me. They seem rustic or farmhouse, which I like very much, but thought they'd more of a mix of modern and rustic together. Ho hum.
