Have you ever daydreamed about that fabulous home you could create if you had the opportunity to blend duplex apartments into one lovely home? Well, a sweet couple in Norrköping, Sweden (and their one-year-old son, Nils) did just that.
Johanna is a designer from H&M Home and her husband Kristian works in marketing. Together, they saw the potential in two tired apartments and turned them into a new home that is "minimalist with a touch of vintage." The old kitchen was converted into a work room and the new kitchen was thoughtfully laid out since the couple loves to cook. Both bedrooms are upstairs. (Check out the coziness of the sloped ceiling in the master bedroom in image five, and you can see a peek of Nils' nursery in image three.)
I love the white walls and floors throughout. The clean white setting creates a gorgeous backdrop for the many unique pieces that adorn the home. (My favorite is the cabinet in the kitchen, which, apparently is from the 1800's and belonged to Kristian's grandmother's father.) The couple also likes to mix old objects with new to create a personal feeling in the home. Keeping the base white makes it easy to mix things up with colorful pillows, flea market finds, and bright tabletop accents. White, with a touch of color. Minimalist, with a touch of vintage. Perfection.

I don't understand why someone in Sweden has an Obama poster.
@carmenjo
Why not?
I don't understand why someone not in war-torn Britain would have a Keep Calm & Carry On poster. :p
Nice. :) I always dreamed of taking over the adjoining apartment in my building.....*sigh*
