If you could, would you combine your bed with your favorite comfy chair? Peter Simonik and Elena Bolcekova of the Slovakian design firm ALLT would.
The designers explain:
Nest chair brings together a hard base frame made of three oriented strand board cutouts and a soft pillow. It thus gives you a chance to sit comfy, vary your position and also to get up easily. The base is built by fitting parts together using nothing more than your hands. The black edging is a finish gained by laser-cutting the wood base, and it is a welcome visual detail, but also ensures that the edges don't wear with time.

The potential for injury is pretty high with those spikes.
If you're that tired, just go to bed. Spikes are interesting, but with ? pillows/cushions? just looks stupid.
It looks like a dangerous papasan.
As someone who finds herself scrambling to create an elaborate "pillow nest" every time I try to nurse my 4-day-old baby, all I can say is this chair looks AMAZING for pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and breastfeeding! Probably not its intended usage, but still...
I would totally love to curl up in this chair. Too bad for the spikes...
To answer the headline: No, it is not the comfiest chair ever. There are at least four or five chairs that don't poke people in the elbow.
Form over function strikes again. Like so many artisan furniture, you have to sit in it just right, or else.
Looking at it again, I can see how the spikes might be a little stabby. Maybe not so great for nursing a newborn, huh...
I would choose something like a beanbag chair over these spiky edges. Seems like a beanbag chair would be right up your alley Splitty.
Um, sorry but this looks more like a torture device than a comfy chair.
This looks very similar to a chair my mom got for my nursery as a baby. It was red/white striped and had a metal frame that looked safer than this does. Wish I could find a photo...
