Although they make sprays, cloths and other assorted computer cleaning items, we're still big fans of doing it ourselves with things from around the house. One of the first places we head is the bathroom (and not because of last night's take out) for a few supplies. Can you guess what they are? The first item we grab is old toothbrushes and yes, even old electric toothbrush heads can do the job. They're perfect for getting the dust and debris out of your vents without using canned air which some believe to be a hazard due to the moisture content that's involved.

They're also great at getting things out from under keys without removing them and cleaning around the track pad on your laptop.

The next thing to grab is a cotton swab. Instead of cleaning the gunk out of our ears, they make amazing little tools to grab the dust that gets stuck in the corners of your monitor screens, laptop or stand alone. Just run them around the perimeter and you'll be amazed at what comes free!

Do you repurpose household items to clean your tech? Let us know why or why not below!
