Take a look at the storage cabinet on the right hand side of this dining room. Looks handy enough, with doors, drawers, and a buffet-height serving surface. But it's actually doing double time. Click on through the thumbnails below to see how:
As you step around, you'll see the cabinet borders a stair that drops down to the home's entryway. As you walk down the stairs, the backside of the cabinet is full-height and provides coat storage at the entry. We love this hard-working design that acts as space divider, coat closet, and dining room buffet all in one. White Enamel Four-P...
What a great idea.
I love the color scheme, as well.
Very clever! Love it.
Oh this is just awesome. What a great use of space.

Friggin love that chandelier.

That is really cool.
That's pretty fricking cool!
This is exactly why I love. AT. Beautiful, functional, and brilliant. I wish I had the need for this.
Hah! Cool!
Excellent!
Great way to use that wasted space by stairs. I love all the colors in the room and esp. the different colored hardware on the drawers.
Wonderful! I need one of those in my living room and kitchen :)
that is great.
Could anyone please help identify the brand and colour of the blue paint (and the green!) on the walls?!? Its EXACTLY what I want in my office!
Beautiful place! I'd love to have breakfast there on a sunny winter day!
Great idea. But in this particular case there is no way those steep steps with no handrail are up to building code requirements.
Its a great idea, but this room reminds me of an easter egg!
loooove this idea
Daily Nuance - good catch. The handrail is actually on the opposite wall. You can see it in one of the photos on the architect's site.
it looks like it could be close to Cake Stand Blue from the Martha Stewart line of paint
Thanks KirstenWI!
I'll def check out the Cake Stand Blue from Martha Stewart!
It's such a beautiful, spring-like day here that I'm getting really anxious to start painting with these colours!!!
