Tyler's Color Fueling Station) and a LOT has changed since then… It has been a couple of years since the contest (as well as a pretty cool HGTV episode featuring the pad) and there have been some style changes to the place. I decided to tone things down quite a bit. The avocado walls are now a calming grey and the bedroom has done a 180° in terms of style and materials. I would say I've gone from Pop Modern to Rustic/Industrial. The white couch in the living room is gone and has made room for a beautiful wood dining table. It works great for the dinner parties and separates the small space into two different areas. The energy of the space is now much more subdued. I feel like chilling out with a glass of wine as opposed to climbing the walls. I'd say the extrovert in me is still there and is mimicked in some of my accent pieces. The initial energy and excitement of just moving to New York has slowed down and allowed me to comfortably fall into a much calmer, happier place. Who knows though — in 3 more years I might just find my next home project to be quite different!
