Up until recently, we had yet to come across a house listing that instantly made us smize, but that was before we learned Tyra Banks is selling her Manhattan apartment. According to Architectural Digest, the supermodel-turned-mogul and mom placed her posh NYC digs on the market for $17.5 million, giving an entirely new and fab meaning to the words “model home.”

As The New York Times reports, Banks purchased her Battery Park City residence in 2009 and immediately got down to work by giving her home a makeover. However, the new America’s Got Talent host is apparently ready to completely uproot and offload the Manhattan apartment in order to make a move west, putting her closer to the other two homes she owns in Los Angeles and Northern California, as well as her cosmetics company and other business ventures.

Needless to say, the America’s Next Top Model host’s home is fit for a larger-than-life personality. At 7,000 square feet, Banks’ mansion-size duplex is in Lower Manhattan’s River House development, which is also home to other famous residents such as Uma Thurman and Leonardo DiCaprio. Banks’ apartment is comprised of four separate units, with three on the 22nd and the other on the 23rd floor. The sprawling space — which faces the Hudson River and overlooks Rockefeller Park — includes five bedrooms, five baths and three half-baths, along with several kitchens and kitchenettes. Additionally, the home is outfitted with a dressing room, a hair salon, a personal gym and separate quarters for guests and staff.

Reportedly, the renovations Banks put into the home almost equal its original price. Personal upgrades include surround sound, textured wall coverings, embellished light fixtures, wide-plank oak floors and plenty of storage space.

The home currently rents for $50,000 month (that would be half the amount of the cosmetics contract for the most recent ANTM winner), but Banks prefers to sell despite saying she “will miss the feeling of having a home in the sky.”
