Now that we've got the song stuck in your head, think about all the applications in your home where touchless automated devices come in handy. Toilet seats, trash cans, soap dispensers, etc. - there's no need to get your hands dirty!
simplehuman Rectangular Sensor Trash Can, Fingerprint-Proof Brushed Stainless Steel, 40-Liter /10.5-Gallon
$199 with free shipping
We freely admit, there are many other touchless trash cans (such as this iTouchless 13 gallon model for $62.52 with free shipping) available for much cheaper than this model from simplehuman, but it's a proven brand and boy do they look good (hmm, what other company overcharges for a good looking well constructed and working product?). The fingerprint-proof stainless steel body automatically opens and closes, with "multi-sense adaptive sensor technology" that modifies its behavior based on your own.
Automatic Toilet Seat
iTouchless Elongated Touch-Free Sensor Controlled Automatic Toilet Seat
$109.01 with free shipping
No more arguments in the home - at least when it comes to leaving the toilet seat up or down! The lid cover automatically lifts as you approach the toilet and a simple wave of the hand lifts the toilet seat for men to use. Both the lid and seat close automatically when you walk away. Absolutely the best 100 bucks (or so) you can spend for the sanity of your marriage - it's the little things (that piss her mad).
Automatic Soap Dispensers
simplehuman 8-Ounce Sensor Pump
$29.99 with free shipping
Chances are you've got a small hand pump soap dispenser sitting on or built in to your sink. Consider anyone who needs soap to wash their hands has probably touched something pretty gross just beforehand, do you really want to continue to touch that pump handle? This touchless soap dispenser from simplehuman actually looks pretty decent. Simply place your hands under the sensor and you get a nice dollop of soap. It has controls for how much soap/lotion/sanitizer is dispensed as well.
Automatic Faucets
LTTB Touch Free Automatic Sensor Sink Faucet with Temperature Control Handle (Chrome)
$109.99 with free shipping
If touchless faucets are good enough for public restrooms, then they're good enough for our homes. You've just washed up, cleaning your hands thoroughly using soap from the aforementioned automatic soap dispenser and now you're supposed to touch that grimy faucet handle to turn the water off? We don't think so, buddy. Simply walk away and the sensor automatically shuts off, just as it turns on as you start to wash. Magic!

I grew up without all these touch-less things, and I seem to be doing okay...
True, but we also grew up with the Interwebs and can't seem to live without it now. :)
well, I actually meant that I didn't get all these deadly diseases that everyone is worried they will get by touching these things....
It might be me being a bit thick, but surely if you are wanting to use a soap dispenser, you are just about to wash your hands anyway....
@Madders - I make the same sort of argument about using a paper towel on the door handle when leaving the bathroom at work ... in theory, everyone who is using that handle has just washed their hands (at least, I'd like to think so)
@Kaz - you'd like to think so, but people def do NOT wash their hands. Some might pretend by rinsing with water. You're not killing the germs unless you're using hot water and scrubbing vigorously for 20 seconds. Rule of thumb is sing "Happy Birthday" song twice before rinsing.
think of all those people you see who don't wash their hands..... eekk..... ew....
