Perhaps Adrienne should check out Uhuru's newest collection for her Carnivale-Inspired Dream Outdoor Space. Uhuru designers were inspired by Brooklyn's own Coney Island and used salvaged ipe — a generic term for exotic Brazilian hardwood — from the Coney Island boardwalk for these playful designs.
The ipe was originally installed in the 1940s — like teak, it's a hard-wearing exotic hardwood that can last a long time in the harsh conditions of sun, wind and seawater.
Uhuru designers had a tough time with the extremely tough wood — but they persevered and have an extremely unique collection to show for it.
UHURU MUST SEE'S:
• Cyclone Chaise Lounger
• Wonder Wheel Coffee Table — it spins!
• Drop End Table
• Boardwalk Console
