UK to Change Copyright Law to Allow for Parody

On April 6, a new exception allowing artists to use copyrighted material for the purposes of parody, caricature or pastiche is due to pass into law in the United Kingdom. Though parody has been a part of British art for centuries, the government had not incorporated the exception until now. French, German, Dutch, Australian, Canadian and American copyrights already have parody exceptions.
