When it comes to the bedroom, we usually like to keep it pretty minimal. Bare dresser, jewelry tucked neatly away in drawers and a bedside table that repels clutter. But we have to admit, we're kind of loving Ula's cozy bedroom nook--complete with a DIY bookcase that goes for miles.
Not only did Ula create bookcases that utilize tons of vertical space, she transformed this loft space from a kitchen to her cozy bedroom. Keeping the exposed beams (love) she paired the wood with tons of white in the form of bedding and white accent pieces. Matching swing arm lamps that save floor space add to the homey atmosphere. A grouping of white framed mirrors keeps the space light and airy and the vintage chairs create a nice, warm balance with the stark white.

With all of the books we have, my husband and I have been considering putting a bookcase in our bedroom as space in our library is almost maxed out. I am even more convinced that this is a good idea after seeing these photos.
Thanks for sharing!
34 for the great corner library!! :)
Thanks for sharing!! I love how the vertical lines of the radiator help to balance the horizontal shelves! The white accents are a lovely touch as well!

That should read, " 34" or "plus 34" - either way, nicely done! :)
I like the way the busy bookshelf corner is balanced by keeping the rest of the room sparse and calm. What a lovely room to sleep and relax in.
Erm....didn't we just hear that bookcases are terribly un-sexy in the bedroom?
Awesome. What a perfect room. Love it!
great use of space, wonder what is holding the shelves in place.
