Sunset Magazine (one of our favorites) recently featured a home tour of a place in Lake Tahoe that, "...takes its design cues from the breathtaking scenery that surrounds it." The rooms are certainly lovely but our favorite rooms are definitely the kids' rooms.
The three kids' room featured showcase a marriage of rustic and contemporary. The boys' room have simple bunk beds that have great ladders and plenty of under bed storage.

While the playroom has a woodsy color palette, it doesn't appear subdued or boring thanks to the burst of color provided by the chairs and pillows. The teen bedroom echoes this as well.

For some reason, I'm loving those beds in the teen room. And I do like how simple everything is...
Loki- I love those beds too. They are from Room & Board I'm pretty sure.
loving the idea of two beds in an older kids room. one for sleeping and another for lounging about in. can make one huge bed (if on same level) for big sleepovers or corner lounge if hanging with some friends. nice.
