Ultra High-End Sim2 Grand Cinema C3X 1080 Projector

The Italian sports car of projectors, both in looks and performance. The Sim2 Grand Cinema C3X projector has 1080p video with a contrast ratio of greater than 10,000:1, driven by the new DLP (digital light processing) DarkChip 4 from Texas Instruments.

Besides the beautiful inside specs, the outside is beautiful as well. It's only 17 in square, and weighs 22 lbs. It's available in red, gold, gunmetal and black.

This projector is the type you buy instead of a TV and build a great setup around the projector, especially considering the hefty price of $30k.

Why, oh WHY do you even waste my time with a THIRTY THOUSAND dollar television?

Relax. This is consumer electronics. Part of the value of showcasing the highest end of the spectrum is that the pieces will be under $1000 in less than 10 years.

We'll be seeing Darkchip4 chip projectors in the mid-market before the end of next year.
