Though we'd been to Umi Sake House right when they first opened a few years ago, a recent visit had us rubbernecking at the gorgeous, light-filled interior design. The pieces clicked into place when we learned that the Japanese izakaya-style restaurant was designed with the floorplan of an actual house in mind.
The lounge is in what would be the house's outdoor garden or courtyard area, outfitted with low, soft patio furniture. The warmth of the wood everywhere is punctuated by Jerszy Seymour for Magis's red polypropylene and fiberglass stacking chairs.
And while not necessarily home related, inquiring minds might be pleased to know that the happy hour menu is definitely a contender for the Belltown set.
