"Undefined (yes that's the name) is totally handmade. It was influenced by the cantilever that is daringly used in modern architecture. I wanted to be true to the material though. I didn't attempt to hide the fact veneered ply was used (you see it when you open the drawers) or that the walnut "strips" in the drawer have knot holes. I believe that all materials can be beautiful if we allow them to be..."

Commercial Flour Sa...
That would make a beautiful cocktail table...
...just think of all the remote controls and Thai delivery menus I could fit in there!
And I see bedside tables that can double as clothing storage.
Or a media stand (if you joined two units together...)
I like it very much. I also very much like the name "Brock Brockington".
Dimensions? Hard to get an idea of the scale. Is it big enough to use as a coffee table? or is small enough to put on top of a dresser or desk? Is that part of what make it "undefined."
On another note, it's not a cantilever if it's just hanging over a little bit. Certainly not "daringly" so.
This piece is really beautiful, raw and honest. It's also quite large. I actually remember seeing it at the Chicago Design Within Reach contest earlier this year. Didn't you win Honorable Mention??? Congratulations on this new accomplishment!!!
quite interesting. keep on creating beauty!

The post clearly said "...influenced by the centilever..."

Kevviewevvie there has an interesting take on the name of the piece...Undefined..."Is it big enough to use as a coffee table? or is small enough to put on top of a dresser or desk?"
I dig the style and love the versatility of it.

I love the piece! It has a feeling of natural/ eco-friendly living. And the asymmetric, off-centered design gives it a unique quality!! Good Luck!
