This bed really stunned us with its over-the-top romanticism — treetops over your head! We found it on the Etsy-esque European crafts marketplace Dawanda. What do you think? Too pretty, or just right for a lush bedroom scene?
It's quite expensive, of course, and shipping from Finland would put it over the top. But the laser-cut treetops would look quite lovely in a romantic bedroom. We could see it in a more modern room as well, with white-painted floors and dark linens.
This particular edition of the bed is a queen-sized frame (no mattress included) and the carvings are laser cut, hand-sanded, and finished with a translucent white wax. Very pretty. If it was more affordable (and cheaper to ship!) would you spring for such a pastoral bed?

White Enamel Flatwa...
I think it's gorgeous...perhaps not for me, but I love the entire concept! I am however, completely head over heels for that wallpaper!

I think it's beautiful. But I'd like it better in a more sparsely decorated room.
So beautiful! I think the bed would work both in a flowery, lush, super-romantic bedroom and a more spare, modern one.
However, I would be afraid of those leaves somehow being snapped off.
It looks like it went to the restroom and dragged some toilet paper back on it's shoe.
Too much! The bed is swell, but in combination with the elaborate mural, the off-putting TP art/rug/thingo and the... skull (!) it is far from restful. Or tasteful, I'd say.
Much too much! I would have trouble sleeping in that bed. I need simplicity and this is the complete opposite, even without the boas/toilet paper someone left behind.
It's gorgeous - like something out of "Where The Wild Things Are". This would be so much fun in a child's room.
no no no no no nono!
This looks like something right up http://becausewecan.org 's alley...they're based in Oakland, CA, and create fantastic furniture at an attactive price.
(I have no ties to BWC at all, other than I think they're just about the coolest small business on the internet)
i love it!!! however the boas and skull, no. but otherwise!
I like it a lot but I wish those feather boa things weren't there...it's too much.
yuck! it looks like one of those disastrous theme rooms from "trading spaces"!
I reminds me of the Elven design in Lord of the Rings. It's pretty (the bed, the rest is a bit much) but not my cup of tea.
Too fairy-tale-ish and over the top... the thing you get fed up with two months later.
I love this bed. Still, I think it might be better in a room with less stuff. The whole room is a little overwhelming...

Whatever is crawling out from under that bed reminds me of "Poltergeist".
I can picture the negotiations over this.
>But honey, I love this woodlands, bed, the flowered wallpapers, the lovely chairs with the painted birds...
>Only if I can put my cow skull up over the headboard.
Do the boas on the floor read stripper to anyone else?
I love this bed for a child's bedroom or a single person. The rest of the room detracts from the graphic simplicity of the bed.
Looking at that room makes me want to put things away.
I love it, but agree that the boas and cow skull has got to go.
Love the wallpaper. This would go great in a little girl's room.
The skull throwing up boas which then snake out from under the bed is charming.
Perfect - for the Madonna Inn...

...or Extreme Home Makeover.
There's a white furry monster coming out from under the bed!
Its a bit much...
oh, i hate that...
I think this is a "glamor" shot with totally fantasy accessorizing, and it doesn't succeed... hence the boas.
I love the bed but wouldn't want to sleep in it (except maybe at an inn...). But I would LOVE the trees alone in a group of maybe three as dimensional wall art. I'd nail them to the wall in my foyer, for example, against a dark wall background. Or flat against the wall as a headboard (with no footboard.)
I would like the bed as the only organic shape in a very linear room - it is too fluffy in there as shown... Maybe one tree only?
I do like the under-bed monster though... it's good to get one to match the decor.
haha...I was going to say, very cute except for the fuzzy octopus under the bed. I'm not sure I would want the trees on all four corners, but on the headboard it's quite cute.
Hmm...I think this could be a fairly easy DIY if you had a jigsaw.
Glamour shot! Too 2-D for real life. Imagine looking at it from the side. Room's over the top, but that's expected for a photoshoot. Overall, the whole effect seem comic to me. But clearly, a lot of people like it.
Too pretty?
no, I don't think THAT is what I'd call it..........
Is this part of a Stevie Nicks house tour?
Pretty, and perfect to frame and hang on the wall, or for a room we'd never actually sleep in or go in, or use. Like a museum dollhouse scene.
no no no no no no no no no no no no no no.
